As Hong Kong's fourth-largest trading partner in the EU, Italy has built a strong and long-standing business partnership with Hong Kong.
Speaking at a business seminar in Naples on 15 October, Ms Fiona Li, Deputy Representative of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels, highlighted Hong Kong's competitive advantages as a gateway to Asia and the future opportunities it offers as the city continues to strengthen its business advantages, innovation ecosystem, global financial prowess, and regional connectivity.
As an open, dynamic, and trusted hub where East Meets West, Hong Kong continues to help Chinese Mainland enterprises reach global markets, especially in Europe. Working alongside Invest Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, we will continue to promote two-way flow of enterprises and investment: bringing Hong Kong business missions here, and welcoming European companies to Hong Kong, furthering the new initiatives set out in the Chief Executive's recent Policy Address.
Looking ahead, the 'Think Business, Think Hong Kong'; campaign in Milan on 27 November 2025 offers an exciting platform to connect with European and Hong Kong businesses.
